Transgender and Gender Diverse Services

An Affirming Space
Outside In offers a range of services dedicated to transgender and other gender diverse patients. We strive to create a safe, affirming, and comfortable environment where everyone is treated with the dignity and respect that they deserve.
Our transgender health services are offered as part of our primary care clinic, where all our providers are trained to write referrals for gender-affirming surgeries as well as manage gender-affirming hormones (GAH). We follow the guidelines set forth by the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH) to offer care to our clients.
We understand that the gender journey of every patient is unique, and we are here to help. If you have a visit for gender-affirming hormones at our clinic, you may be given an ‘informed consent’ form to sign that explains the risks, benefits, and other important details about the medications. Your provider would answer any questions that you have, and make sure that you fully understand everything on the form before you sign it.
We are unfortunately not currently able to manage adolescent and pediatric gender-affirming care, such as puberty blockers (GnRH agonists). Our services for patients under 15 are limited for this reason.
If you have any questions about our transgender and gender diverse services, you can email us at transinfo@outsidein.org or call 503.535.3860 and select the option 6 to speak to the Transgender Services Coordinator.
