Last month, MTV released the documentary Each and Every Day: Stories of Survivors. This film features nine young people – including Emma, one of Outside In’s Peer Support Specialists – who share their honest and vulnerable stories of mental health and suicidal thoughts, in an effort to reduce the stigma around depression, trauma, and mental illness. We know this stigma keeps many people from seeking help, and at the heart of this film is the belief that talking about mental health is one of the key things that could save lives.
The film is available to watch on mtv.com.
