Outside In’s Executive Director, Patricia Patrón, recently sent a thank you email to our agency’s financial supporters.
This email included the short video below and our latest Impact Report, with data, pictures, and stories that demonstrate the difference Outside In is making in our community. Our work would not be possible without all of our donors and community partners! We are proud of the work that we have done together – and we hope you are too!
Patricia’s Video Message Transcript
“Thank you for making a gift to support our work. I am so grateful that you are part of the Outside In Family. Giving to Outside In is an investment in hope.
Holding hope when things feel hopeless takes courage, and we are humbled by your generosity and the incredible strength of our clients and patients, especially when we reflect on all that happened this year.
With you as our partner, Outside In works to support our Portland neighbors most in need. We listen to our patients and clients and respond by delivering integrated health care and social services in an environment where everyone feels like they belong.
We know the need is great, but we also know change happens one small step at a time, and hope holds those steps for us.
In September of 2021, we celebrated one year of service at our second clinic in the Rosewood neighborhood of East Portland. The Rosewood community is one of the youngest, most diverse, and densely populated places in the state.
There has been a historic lack of investment in this culturally rich and vibrant community, and we are excited by this milestone and also proud to have already expanded our primary care offerings with two new supports: reproductive and pediatric health services.
Our expansion into Rosewood is just one recent example of our responsiveness to community needs. Over this last year, we have rolled out COVID vaccine clinics and added food resources and pantries to all of our seven locations.
We kept our employment and education program open and available despite the hardships COVID presents, and continued to be a safe haven for our community of youth clients and medical patients.
None of this would be possible without you, our generous donors. Thank you.”
