Welcome to Outside In, Kathleen!
We are so excited for you to meet Kathleen Carter, Outside In’s new Health Services Director. Kathleen wanted to share some introductory words with all of you!
Hi everyone! My name is Kathleen Carter, and I am so excited to be joining Outside In as the new Health Services Director. I have lived in Portland for the last 15 years and in that time, developed a huge respect for Outside In as an organization. And now, I feel so proud to be a part of this work, and part of an organization that really lives its values.
I care deeply about working to improve health disparities, and bring responsive, high quality health services to those who need it most.
Outside In is an organization that’s working hard to reduce barriers to health care, and understands that the idea of ‘health’ can look and feel a lot of different ways depending on who you are and where you’re at.
And in this position in particular, I am really excited about the opportunity to serve patients and empower the incredibly passionate, dynamic staff we have at Outside In.
Outside of work, I’m a doting mom to a tiny tuxedo cat, a slow but very enthusiastic biker, and a yoga practitioner (I got my yoga teacher training certification last year!)
I am so grateful to be here and get started. I’ll be primarily working at our Downtown clinic and the new medical clinic in East county, and I’d love to see you if you’re ever there. So for now– thank you, thank you for being in community with me. It’s great to meet you and I look forward to connecting soon. Bye for now.
Thank you!
It is because of you – our community –
that Outside In is able to save the lives of thousands of people each year.
We would love to hear from you!
Please feel free to share your thoughts, ideas, and questions with us.
We are grateful for your support!
